The last day of the year, I cannot believe it. When you reflect back on all that has happened in your life, with your family and friends it is amazing. I have had many losses this year, but on the positive side, I have learned how grateful I am for all who are with me.

The ladies and gentlemen who have crossed our door step are wonderful amazing people. Thank you all so much. I am hoping to wrap things a the store here by the end of January. It is not easy to see the faces of you all when you come in the door. I have gotten many wonderful hugs from some of you already. The end will not be easy, but I have to say I am so charged up at starting a new. I will stay in touch by email and visit many of you outside the store. I have been broached by a few stores to teach there. I will be doing it in the future. Quilting is in my blood and I do not plan on stopping it.

I have also started knitting again, I have made two scarfs for starters to remind myself after almost twenty years of how to do it. I have moved onto a hat and will try my hand at cables next. I have many valuable friend who I know that I can count on to help me when I get stuck and have a question.

I will be closed tomorrow January 1st. Have a Happy New Year. I am also going to be closed January 9th and 16th, two Fridays for the day.

If you have a started project and think you may need a little more of something, come in early. I have emptied many bolts of fabrics in the last two weeks. I don't want to see you miss out on needing that little bit more. Stay tuned next week for more information about our closing.

For those following my little ordeal before Christmas, I am not out of the woods yet, I see another doctor on Monday . I may have some permanent damage to my hand, I will know more next week.

Here is to a Healthier New Year for us all!

The Day After

I certainly hope the holidays were good for everyone. I really felt the spirit of Christmas this year more than ever. I want to let you all know the changes are happening fast at the shop. Be prepared, the quilts are all down, the quilt racks, pattern rack and patterns have left the building too. If there was a fabric or notion or book you have wanted you best come in soon as it will soon be gone. The store has an erie look to it.

I remember when I first walked into this store. I had my closest of friends working side by side with me. They helped me in so many ways. It was Veronica who found this location and many who worked hard to get me up and running in such a short time. I owe all of you a debt of gratitude for putting up with me then and reminding me to breathe, it would all work out fine. Then from there to have the passing of my family members, they stepped right up and made sure that I got thru it and the store was running, again I thank you all. For all those who have helped work the store, who ran classes, who made samples for me, I do treasure you all. I could not have done this without you all. Then of course there are those who started out as a customer, who took classes and have worked there way into my personal life and feel more like family. You have become good friends, who know me so well. I am blessed. For all the ladies and gentlemen who have crossed my door step and made me a better person. Thank you.

I am anxious to venture out into the world and be challenged again, to help others. It is time. Be happy for Larry and I, we will have so much down time coming that I am sure we can fill with photo expeditions. Thank you most to Larry for believing in me, for making this dream come true. for standing beside me, for believing in me, for always supporting my every whim.

Stay Healthy and Warm, Enjoy the Holidays.

Merry Christmas Eve

Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas Eve to one and all. I have so much to be thankful for. I had an accident and almost lost the use of my hand and forearm. I was in the hospital for five days and am doing so much better, all will be well in just a short time. I threatened to discharge myself from the hospital if I could not be home for Christmas Eve, bad enough I missed the snow. Patience is not in my name or make up at all. I want it all all better now but will have to wait it out and do my follow up with the doctors. I promised to follow all the orders given to me.

So life is good, I will be surrounded with my family for several days and will smile be very content. Good things will be coming my way soon.

May one and all enjoy the holidays, take a minute to really appreciate those around us. Smile, enjoy, reflect and appreciate the life we are blessed to have.

Holiday Cheer

Hello,

It is amazing the emails I had gotten, thank you one and all, each one means so much to me. I need to remind you this really is a good thing me. I will miss you all, but I am excited to be moving forward in my life. Larry and I will be able to spend more time together. My horizons have been widened with Camera Club. I have been reminded that life can be cut short suddenly and I for one do not want to say "gee I should have ..."

It is two weeks until Christmas, I am having so much fun getting ready; buying gifts, wrapping gifts and baking. This is a time to remember all our loved ones who have passed. They are in a better place, at peace and watching over me and smiling down on me saying "You Go Girl give them Hell!"

May you all find an inner peace this Holiday Season as I have.

Merry Christmas

Good Morning,

Are you over the shock of the store closing yet? It is a sad time yes, but a glad time for me. I have heard from so many well wishers, I count my blessings that you (and you know who you are) are in my life. True loyal friends will never be forgotten, and those who you think are friends show their true colors. It is amazing how many lives this store has touched. I consider myself blessed in so many ways. I fulfilled a dream and as in all dreams they come to an end.

As you know I am a the glass in half full kind of gal, so I am ready to move forward with a positive mind set. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and thank you all for your well wishes. Watch for news after the first of the year for more on our closing plans. I am here to answer any questions you may have, rumors and gossip is never good, come to me and I will answer any questions you may have.

Larry and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. There will be many tears shed, but this is the right thing for me in the end.

As Tiny Tim said, And "God Bless Us Everyone!"

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays !

Tis the season, I wish Christmas Music could be played all year round, I just truly love the holidays.

I had the best Turkey Day ever, I shared it with my family, Larry, Ian, Cara, and Tim. My sister Susan's family, Patrick, Molly and Ryan. We ate till we were pleasantly full, played card games and board games then had our fill of dessert. I thank them all for the most memorable day. As we started our meal we each gave thanks for our blessings. Traditions and family, my Mom would be proud of us all, I know she was smiling down on us all. Yes the turkey went in the oven and the Christmas Music began in my house.

Just a reminder that this Saturday is the final block for this years Block A Month. Yahoo, one year down. Great job ladies. Listen closely for announcements about next years Block A Month during the meeting. Lots to talk about this meeting. Don't forget be in the doors by 8:30.

Our Guild Meeting next week will be our Christmas Party, it will start at 6:30 as usual. It is a night when everyone brings food to the meeting to share. We will provide the paper goods and drinks. Don't forget for those of you who made the Mystery Quilts, bring in your tops and or completed quilts and anything else in for show and tell. We will have a Yankee Swap. It should be a maximum of a $20.00 gift, no gift certificates please. It could be fabric, something made, notions, a book or anything like that. I do ask that it be quilting related though.

Merry Christmas and Happy Quilting To You All !
