New Hours / Recovery Surgery

Hi Ladies,

OK we will have new store hours starting September 15th. The regular store hours will be Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 9:00 - 4:30, Wednesdays 9:00 - 6:00, and Thursdays 9:00 - 8:30. I will be closed Sundays and Mondays. These will now be our regular hours.

We will be open the first two Sundays for our Soldiers Angels Workshops, the hours are 12-5, come by and help us out, I have 31 quilts turned in and my goal is 100. Thanks to all that have helped to date, I look forward to seeing the others that are still being worked on. It is not too late to start or make another one! This is such a worthy cause and is near and dear to my heart.

I had my knee surgery, all is well, I have some intense therapy I have to do so I can bend my knee but luckily it is my left knee so I can drive. It is not as painful as it was, but they say that with therapy will hurt and then I will be as good as new.

The new schedule and newsletter will be up, posted and emailed to one and all within the next few days.

Drop by and say Hello, I enjoy seeing everyone!

New Batiks & Patriotics

Just got in a nice shipment of batiks and patriotic fabrics, sample image above. They won't last long, so if you love batiks, come on down today.

SOLDIERS' ANGELS QUILTS

We have a good start toward our goal of collecting hand-made quilts for the Soldiers' Angels organization's Blankets of Belief campaign. We hope to donate at least 100 hand-made red, white & blue quilts to the program which will go to our servicemen in Iraq and Afghanistan this Christmas. Out first 15 quilts collected were shown at the Compass Guild meeting last night, and they are spectacular!

Our thanks go to all the quilters for caring enough to do this with us. To see all the quilts we have to date go to:

http://quilterscompass.com/compassguild.html

The first 15 quilt sown in the series are the ones we have so far.

If you'd like to help us and make quilt to go to a soldier in a war zone, it does not have to be difficult, or complicated. Complete information about quilt sizes, etc., can be found here:

And don't forget our upcoming September workshops to finish quilts in progress, on

Sunday, September 7th or
Sunday, September 14th
from Noon to 5:00 pm.

We'd be glad to help you pull it all together.
