I too took up knitting again this past winter, at first it took over my quilting time, but gradually I&#39;m getting better balance between them. Here's the recipe we use for crepes<br />Iggies crepes<br />5 large eggs<br />2.5 cups milk<br />large squirt of vanilla<br />1/2 cup sugar<br />2 cups flour<br />beat these together then add:<br />5 tablespoons melted butter<br />Cook by ladleful in a large hot skillet, turn over and cook the other side. Stack on a plate, until you've cooked them all. We spread jelly on ours and roll them or fold in quarters, but you can also fill these with things like spinach souffle and drizzle a cheddar cheese sauce over the top and have a dinner savory crepe. Enjoy! As much as I miss Quilters Compass I miss you both more. You were both always so upbeat and outgoing.<BR/>I am glad to hear that you are doing what you want and enjoying it. You are all to right in saying life is too short... enjoy every day. I know, I am here only because of wonderful doctors and medical staff, in Montana, and the Lord up above, that saved me 3 times. It&#39;s been a long hard road to recovery, with many more surgeries in between. However, I had/have a lot to live for, my husband who was there every minute I lay in ICU and after. Through my followup surgeries and recoveries. And also my two children and my 3 grandchildren, one who was born after my ordeal. It says "A house is not a home until love moves in." It made me think of your quilt shop when I read it last. Quilter's Compass could have been just another shop full of goodies. Instead, because of your warmth, it was a home to quilters of all levels of expertise...a happening place with warmth and humor, care-filled instructions and an environment that encouraged peace in the midst of outer turmoil. Who could ask for a nicer place to be in to create beauty from scraps? Or a nicer person to share the scraps of life with while stitching piece to piece in the hope of seeing a stronger whole? <BR/><BR/>You will be missed...you are to be thanked by so many...You did not give us a shop...you gave, and because you did we had a warm homey place to be in. This prevents bleeding and sets the colors. It really works, even on red. Make sure to follow the bottle directions.
